Low Latency
Our network is laid out to minimize the
number of hops it takes for a data packet to leave
your office and reach its destination on the Internet.
Reducing the number of hops lessens the number
of devices your information travels through. This
means that you have faster transmission times,
or low latency, as well as the added benefit of
having fewer points of potential failure. For
example, on our Iowa network, our average statewide
latency from your local POP (point-of-presence)
to our Internet POP is under 30 milliseconds (ms)
for a two-way trip.
High Availability
What kind of uptime can you expect? For the most
recent 6-month period our network backbone uptime
was 99.731%. That translates into less than 1
day of downtime per year.*
Smart Network Monitoring
We actively monitor our network from our network
operations center (NOC) to make sure that it is
optimally performing. In addition, we perform
preventative maintenance on a regular basis to
all of our network POPs.
Next Generation IP + ATM Powered Network
Experience the advantages of our next generation
network that utilizes ATM and IP to efficiently
manage data traffic, reducing overhead and increasing
throughput 19% to 24% beyond traditional circuit-based
frame relay networks.
Anti-virus and spam protection
All incoming email is scanned for viruses and
spam email.
Unlike other types of wireless
communication, such as satellite, the radio frequencies
that we use are not affected by weather conditions
such as clouds or rain.
We terminate your connection to an RJ45 Ethernet
jack. Review Customer
Requirements and Installation
Process to learn more.

indicate future performance.
